The Eastern Himalayas shelter Sittong which rests as an unknown village in the West Bengal portion of the Darjeeling district. Tourists flee from the typical sightseeing areas of Darjeeling town to discover the peaceful village of Sittong which people now call the "Orange Village" because of its numerous orange orchards. A Scenic Gateway The small village of Sittong exists at a distance of 35 kilometers from Kurseong together with a 50 kilometer distance from Siliguri. The route to the village passes between pine forests and misty hills while running past tea plantations.
